praying for you

Happy Thursday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. As I am typing my post, I am wondering where this day went. I was busy doing catch-up around the house and trying to create as well.

I am also trying to get all my stamp stuff organized. It's frustrating to not know what you have when you are trying to get a card together.

Today I worked on my ribbon collection. I separated it into 3 photo boxes by colors. I used my label maker and labeled the boxes. I was happy when this was done. I have wanted to work on this since Christmas.

My next project is my brads, buttons, etc. I guess all the bling. Today I found some pearls that I forgot I had.

I know you all understand what I am talking about. I think this is probably one of the biggest complaint of stampers. I see it mentioned on a lot of blogs.

I am on a mission here, my friends. I am determined to get all my stuff in order.

Well, onto my card for today. This one is for the ways to use it challenge on splitcoaststampers. Today we were to add some diagonal element to our card. I decided to use a triangle as the angled element.

I used an old layout from sketch challenge 253. It had the angles I was looking for.

Since I had my soft suede card stock out from yesterday's card I decided to use that as my base. The designer paper is from cloud 9-the cinnamon stick collections. I used a chipboard flower and rub-ons from this same collection as my image.

I thought the triangles brought some focus to the flowers. I punched them with a 1 3/8 square punch and then cut them in half.

I added some pearls to the points. These are the ones I mentioned above that I forgot I had.

My sentiment is from stampin-ups thoughts & prayers set.

That basically is my card. I thought it could have been brighter. But, with the colors I used it could work as a masculine card as well.

Well, its time to turn out the lights in charmed life land for another day.

I want to leave you with a some words from

Proverbs 31:
A wife of noble character who can find?
...she sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her task
she is clothed with strength and dignity

card recipe:
stamps: thoughts 7 prayers
