Autumn Wishes

Hello Blogger Friends. Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today. I am glad that you checked in on me, by the way.

The past couple of months have been so busy with the harvest from my hubby's garden. His hobby somehow became mine this summer. Not that I wanted it that way, but we had such a plentiful harvest that I was in the kitchen day after day working the tomatoes, green beans, basil and banana peppers. It left me with no time for my own hobby,

But his gardens are finished for this year and now I can get back to card making. And just at the perfect time to create for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So onto my card for today.

Splitcoaststampers is having a card making challenge that they are calling the "Falliday Fest. This card is one of the first that I created for the challenge. We were to feature wood/woodgrain anywhere on our project.

Here is a link to the challenge.  Joanne's Falliday Fest Challenge - Woodwork.
I used wood textures designer paper from Stampin Up and then embossed it with a wood plank embossing folder.

My image panel is designer paper from the Paper Rose collection - "Autumn Florals". I finished off my card with a twine bow and some enamel dots. This was a quick and easy one but it will go into my stash for the Thanksgiving cards I send out.

That's it for me for this challenge. So until next time......God bless.

Card Details:
Paper: pecan pie, timid tiger, wood textures dsp (Stampin' Up), Paper Rose Autumn florals dsp

Thankful For You

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today.

Well, I think our summer weather is coming to an end. We had a frost last night and today even though the sun is out it's a bit cold outside. And even inside I had to turn the furnace up a couple of degrees. We usually keep it on 67° but today that's just not warm enough. It is mid November so I just need to adjust to the cooling temps (LOL)!!!

We just had new equipment sent to us from Verizon for our Fios service. The old set top box and DVR are being discontinued. I looked through the directions and honestly, I am not sure how to install the new boxes. I asked one of my neighbors who has helped us in the past. If he isn't able to come, I may have to pay for a Verizon installer to come out. Don't know why they would upgrade equipment and then expect the average person to be able to install it.

Anyway, onto my card for today. This fun fold design I made using the contents of the Stampin' September Paper Pumpkin kit. It's all about Autumn card making and I think it's perfect for Thanksgiving cards. Everything I used on this card came in the kit except for the sentiments and the November phrase.

The fold is titled an "inside out flip card". I found this tutorial on Tami White's Blog and used it for this card.

This photo shows the card inside. The November phrase is from a CottageCutz die and the stamped sentiment is from Divinity Designs.

Card Inside

This photo shows the front sentiment flipping over. Hence the reason for the title of the fun fold.

Peace and Joy Wreath

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog.

It's a late-night post for me. My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are here visiting for Christmas. The days seem to go by so quickly with other family visiting and just spending time with my granddaughter. Everyone is in bed now so I thought I would get this post in. I am still showing this season's Christmas cards.

This one I created for the Splitcoaststampers 2022 Falliday Fest. This challenge we were to make a card or project that uses pines... trees or cones... or both!!

I chose the pinecone option, and they are featured in my designer paper. The designer paper is from the "Painted Christmas" collection from Stampin' Up.

My wreath is a new die from CottageCutz. It's the Peace and Joy Wreath. I cut it evening evergreen and real red cardstock also from Stampin' Up.
