We had a great service in church today. Our pastor mentioned that the Sunday after Easter is considered "low attendance Sunday".
But, that wasn't the case in our church. We had a number of visitors, and we were relatively full.
Our associate pastor preached today and he had such a great message. It was titled "according to Him" and was about our quest for true identity. What we do or don't do doesn't change God's love for us.
God made us to be the person He wants.
We can accept what God says about us because it's not distorted. And, what he says comes right from the bible: Psalm 139:14- I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
This will be a 4 week series and I am already looking forward to the message for next Sunday.
My card for today is for the Mojo Monday 133 contest. I am just finishing this right under the wire.Tthe contest closes in about 1 hour.
I really liked the layout that Jeanette Olen provided. I used some designer paper from BoBunny called Alissa so cute. I liked all the pretty flowers and since it is double-sided I was able to use the striped side for my middle panel.
My pink layer was cuttlebugged with the floral fantasy folder. My sentiment is from the verve "wishing you" set. The sketch called for this to be set in an oval so I used my nesties to cut the shape.
I added a flower and my ribbon is from stampin-up and is black velvet.
Well, its time to close this post so I can get my card linked up to the Verve-Mojo blog.
Just a reminder that if you would like me to pray for you for any reason, drop me an email. God hears and answers prayer.

ReplyDeleteThis really was a super sketch this past week and I love the DP you chose for it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the sermon...we had a meaningful service as well with the bottom line message (and final song) being 'This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.' It really was a gorgeous day of rest!
