Happy Sunday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. I love Sundays-they are always such relaxing days. We start it off at church and usually end it up spending time with family.
Our pastor had such an inspirational message today. We are at week #3 of a mini-series entitled "search for significance".
This week the message was on the blame game. It so much easier for us to blame others for things because it shifts the responsiblity from us to them.
He challenged us to think why we blame others. And, why we can't admit when we're wrong.
He took us to Genesis 3:8 and showed us how this blame game started with Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming the serpent for what they did wrong.
He left me with the thought that God doesn't blame me.
We had dinner with my husband's family this evening. We had a really good meal at a local restaurant. The conversation was pleasant and funny at times. A time set aside to share our lives the way only families can.
Now onto my card for today. I made this one for several challenges:
1. Sunday is the featured stamper challenge on splitcoaststampers. This week we visited the gallery of an incredible stamper gloriousgreetings. I chose her what's the buzz card to case.
I used some rainbow background paper to create my scene and stamped some clouds.
My flowers are recollections dimensional stickers. I made a little hill from tall tales designer paper.
I added some buttons to continue with my whimsical theme, and a sentiment to make it a Mother's Day card.
2. Our creative corner blog had a challenge this week to use blossoms and flowers on your card. It's always such fun to use flowers on your card, especially for Mother's Day.
3. The stampin sisters in Christ blog had a challenge to make a Mother's Day card. Their scripture reference this week is from Exodus 20-the 4th commandment-to honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment to carry a promise with it.
Well, that's my card for today. Blessings to all my blogger friends.
