Snowman Lane

Hello Blogger friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog.

Are we actually in mid-November already? And is next Thursday Thanksgiving Day? And can Christmas be far behind? Well the answer is yes to all of the above (lol)!

I haven't finalized my Thanksgiving menu yet. Not that I will be changing anything. My daughter-in-law usually changes up her vegetable dish each year. And, no one else brings anything.

Well, I should say none of the other others are cooks so I don't ask them to bring anything. I will be having 12 people here for dinner. Shopping will probably take place this weekend, at least for the turkey. I usually get a 22-24# bird and it takes at least 5 days to thaw.

And, I am slowly making progress on my Christmas cards. This one I made for the Splitcoaststampers color challenge #703. Stef was our hostess and she chose gorgeous grape, heather highland, soft seafoam and balmy blue for her color palette. These are all new Stampin-Up colors. Love-love-love!!!  Optional was to use ribbon or twine. I didn't have a place for it on my card, so I skipped it this week.

I thought these colors would look good on this new Snowman Lane die from CottageCutz. So, I went with a winter scene.

I used the challenge colors for their hats and scarf. No soft seafoam yet so I subbed pistachio pudding. The CottageCutz die set has all the pieces I used including the clouds and little snowflakes.

For the snowbank, snow on the fence, mailbox and pole, I used white glitter paper. On the clouds and snowflakes, I used clear wink of stella.

The sentiment is from Penny Black's "snowflake sentiments" set. Well that's it for me for this post. So until next time...…..God bless.
