Hello Blogger friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today.
Well the U.S. election is over for another 2 years so hopefully there will be a bit of peace and civility in our land. And, the endless political commercials and phone calls have come to an end.
I voted in this election, and in every election, because it's a right that I don't take for granted. I pray for our nation. We need a return to the faith of our forefathers.
There is a healthy conflict between conservatives and liberals that has always been there. Its when it becomes divisive that it is destructive to the nation. Only God can dissolve the hate that is coming out of people.
Now let's move onto my card for today. This one I created for the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge #718. This layout tends to be on the CAS side.
CAS is not a style that I am totally comfortable with so any help I can get I gladly accept. As I was looking through my Stampin'-Up Christmas designer paper I found a collection I wanted to use, but I didn't know the name, or the colors associated with it.
So that led me to last year's holiday catalog. Not only did I find the paper there was also a card that caught my eye. The layout was similar to this week's sketch, and with some minor tweaks I had a card. I am happy with how this one turned out.
The paper Christmas trees are part of the pattern of the "Quilted Christmas" designer paper collection. I cut them out to use on my card. The felt tree is part of the Stampin'-Up stitched felt embellishments.
For the two circles that are part of Diane's sketch, I used a felt holly embellishment. I stamped my sentiment in garden green ink. Scattered a few small red dots for interest and a red star over the felt tree.
I used a basic stitch lines die for some added interest under my image panel.
Well, that's it for me for this post. So until next time...….God bless.
