crate & barrel inspiration

Happy Saturday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. It has been really hot and humid here the past 2 days.

Not that I am complaining by any means. I remember very vividly the 24" of snow and the havoc it caused here a few months ago.

My hubby said our flowers are a little stressed because it's too hot too soon. He will figure out what to do to take care of them I am sure.

I spent the day in the air conditioning, but I was cleaning. We are having a few couples over tomorrow for a cook-out after church. I had hoped to be able to sit out on the deck, but it may be too hot.

We went out for an early dinner with my in-laws, which I almost opted out of because I had to go to the grocery store.
Then I came to my senses and thought what is more important than spending time with family?
I went to the store after dinner and was home by 8:30.

The family is coming over on Monday for a cook-out. So it will be a fun holiday week-end with good friends and family.

My card for today was created for the inspiration challenge on splitcoaststampers. This week our site was the Crate & Barrel. I love this site. It's filled with lots of inspiration.
I picked the marrimeko la botte floral tablecloth.

I had this great designer paper from BoBunny-the tuscany garden line to work with and inked up my upsy daisy stamp to start my card.

I finished it up by adding some yoyo yellow ribbon, a sunflower and a stampin-up border punch.

I sponged my white ribbon with yoyo yellow ink to get the color I needed.
I saw this tip on Michelle Zindorf's blog recently.

Well, my friends it's time to dim the lights in charmed life land for today. Church in the morning and I am giving a tribute and prayer to our veterans.

card recipe:
stamps: upsy daisy
paper: bazzill maraschino, su yoyo yellow, vv, bobunny dsp
ink: yoyoyellow
accessories: ribbon, su border punch
