Kendra's wedding card

Happy Sunday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. We just returned home from a wonderful weekend.

The young couple that my hubby and I have mentored for the past 2 1/2 years,
Kendra & Aaron, were married on Saturday.

We were invited to the wedding rehearsal and the dinner on Friday night. Then we stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast that evening. They booked it for us as a small way of saying thanks to us.
All the rooms in this house were decorated so beautifully with such attention to detail. You can click on the above link to see the B&B.

The wedding ceremony on Saturday was held at Armstrong Farms about an hour north of Pittsburgh. What a beautiful venue for a wedding.

The ceremony itself was outdoors at the edge of a  lake. Kendra arrived in a carriage where her Dad greeted her and walked her down the aisle.

My husband and I were given the opportunity to speak. This was such an honor for the both of us. I directed my comments towards Kendra and Alan directed his towards Aaron.

We both spoke on their character and the growth we have seen in them over the last 2 years.
They were touched by what we had to say as well as the wedding guests.
We received many compliments afterwards.

This is a picture of the bride and groom at the ceremony. It was such a festive reception as well.
They were such a happy couple and their joy just spilled over to the guests.

Kendra's parents

You can even se the happiness on their parent's faces in this picture  We took this one and got the bride & groom dancing dancing in the background.

The card I am showing on the blog today is one that I made to give them with their wedding gift.
I forgot to take a picture of it before we left on Friday so I had to do that at the bed & breakfast.
I placed it on the window sill in our room where I had the most light.

I used the cuttlebug folder "scrollworks" to frame the bride & groom image. I added a chocolate satin ribbon a pearl button to the ribbon center and some randomly placed chocolate pearls and that completed my card.

Well, it's late and time to dim the lights in charmed life land for another day. God bless my blogger friends.

card recipe:
stamps: artful inkables "wedding silhouettes"
paper: chocolate and cream
ink: stazon timber brown
accessories: ribbon, pearls, cb ef

  1. Mary, your card is so beautifully elegant! Gorgeous! Great pictures of the wedding, too. I get very sentimental at weddings. It is a major milestone. A break from your first family to move onto one that you will create together. I always cry! The picture with the parents and the dancing couple I am sure they all will love to have. Great card, great photos and wonderful memories! TFS!
