I bought my first Christmas gift yesterday. What I have been doing in the past few years is to shop online and the TV shopping channels.
It's an easy way to get what I am looking for. So I will see if that works for me again this year.
My card for today is for 2 challenges:
1. Saturday is also the inspiration challenge on splitcoaststampers. I love playing in that challenge because it really gets your creativity flowing. This week the site Poster Cabaret was a bit challenging for me. So I really had to get my creative thought process in gear.
Most of the posters weren't taking me anywhere. Then I found the Christmas story movie poster. It got me to thinking about Christmas and Christmas trees and my card was taking shape.
this is our layout |
I used a die-cut from an old Stampin-Up scrappin' kit "sparkling holiday" for my main image. The sentiment is from the Stampin-Up 'all year cheer" stamp set. I punched a circle and added some gold cord.
My background papers are from Basic Grey's "fruitcake collection".
Another Christmas card completed!! I may use this layout and make some more of this design. I will have to stamp a tree but I have the perfect one to use.
Time to clean up my stamping area and I am going to try to get some of my paper organized. God Bless and have a great week-end!!
card recipe:
paper: su old olve textured, basic grey fruitcake, sparkling holiday scrap kit
ink: old olive, riding hood red

Beautiful card. The background paper you used is one of my favorite BG papers.
