Marching in the Easter Parade

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today.

Well, even though we were given an extension on our income tax until July 15, I filed mine yesterday. I am so glad it's over and done with for another year. I use Turbo Tax software and it works fine for me. My state tax is also filed and now I just have to finish up our local tax. I don't know whether we were given an extension there or not. But, I will have that completed either today or tomorrow.

Now that it's out of the way, I can begin on my craft room and the reorganizing of my closet. That has been on my to-do list for 2 years but somehow I just never got around to it.

So onto my card for today. This one I created for the color challenge #785 on Splitcoaststampers. Barbara was the hostess and she chose flirty flamingo, pineapple punch and bermuda bay. Optional was to make it Spring or Easter.

For my card I decided to do a case of this card that I made a few weeks ago. The die I used is Spring Parade from CottageCutz.

I changed the colors to pineapple punch and flirty flamingo and added flirty flamingo enamel dots. I also made this one a long & skinny card to fit all the images - it's 7 1/4" x 4 1/4".

I used some Stampin'-Up neutral cardstocks for the bunny (baked brown sugar) and the lamb smoky slate & basic gray). For the bunny ears I sponged white cardstock very lightly with flirty flamingo ink - it produced a nice shade of pink.
Since, I didn't have a stamp with the word parade, I used the Retro Alphabet die from CottageCutz. I cut the phrase in Bermuda bay cardstock.

The background designer paper is from a collection by Lawn Fawn. I also sponged lightly with mossy meadow (neutral) ink for a grassy knoll for the parade marchers. I am giving this card to a neighbor who needs a little pick-me up right now.

Well, that's it for me for this post. So until next time...….God bless.
