Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog today.
I spent the day with my daughter-in-law yesterday. We were out shopping for a new area rug for my kitchen and living room. I did find one for the kitchen. It's going in the dining area of my kitchen.
I have a couple of minor things to do in the kitchen and the project that we started a year ago will be finished (lol)! What's up in the air is what to do with my microwave stand.
I have one that was custom built for us in Amish Country in Ohio. The Amish are such wonderful craftsmen with wood. The piece is solid oak and has 2 copper inlays on the doors. The problem is that it worked really well with my kitchen when it was the "country" style. Now that it's more of a modern style it just doesn't fit. I have been back and forth with this for a year. Need to make a final decision soon.
Well anyway, let's move onto my card for today. This one I created for the color challenge #690 on Splitcoaststampers and also for a group DT post on the CottageCutz Blog.
Pam is the hostess for the color challenge and she chose cherry cobbler, crumb cake and marina mist for her color trio.
cherry cobbler, crumb cake, marina mist |
The dies I used are a brand new release from CottageCutz - Just For Guys. I used the Dad's Tools and the Happy Father's Day Phrase dies on this card.
The background cork paper is from Recollections. I was going after a peg board look. This card emphasizes the cherry cobbler and crumb cake colors, but to get the 3rd color in there, I used several marina mist enamel dots.

Well, that's it for me for this post. So until next time...…..God bless.
