Some Bunny

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog.

We are in the middle of March Madness here at our house. My hubby is a big basketball fan so the games have been on non-stop this weekend. It's not a problem with me. I can just go about my day doing what I want then (lol)!!!

But, honestly I had extra time at pre-school the past 2 weeks and the time change has left me a bit low energy this weekend. So I didn't really do much. Went for a 2 mile walk today but it really didn't energize me.

I spent some time getting our art project ready for Tuesday's preschool class. March is Dr Seuss month so we always do projects based on one of his books. This week it's Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You.

We will be making a paper bag cow puppet. The kids will just have to glue all the cow pieces, that I cut out today on the bag. Should be an easy project to complete. Although with 3 years old and glue sticks you always have to watch. They sometimes get carried away with putting glue on the project.

Now onto my project for today. This one I created for the color challenge #676 on Splitcoaststampers. Karen was the hostess and she chose rich razzleberry, garden green and sweet sugarplum for her color trio. Optional was to use scallops.
rich razzleberry, garden green, sweet sugarplum
I created an Easter card using the sweet Miss Petunia Bunny die from CottageCutz. My layout is the February Viva la Verve sketch. This sketch works perfectly for Karen's dessert option. It also calls for a scalloped circle panel.
I also cased myself on this card. Here is another version in different colors and designer paper.

The background designer paper is from the Stampin'-Up Irresistibly Floral collection. It's an embossed paper designed to be sponged with your fave color for an easy resist technique. I used rich razzleberry ink and did an ombre technique going from lighter to darker.

The long razzleberry rectangle panel was embossed with the Cuttlebug "just my type" folder. The scallop circle was cut with the CottageCutz "Sweetheart Doily" die.

On the image panel I sponged garden green ink for the grass. Cut some small clouds and sponged those with sweet sugarplum ink. Miss Petunia bunny was cut with the challenge colors. She is just the cutest little thing. Used dimensional adhesive to lift her off the panel for depth.

I stamped the sentiment with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig since it's a horizontal stamp. I wanted it to run vertically down the side of this panel. To complete this card, I added some sweet sugarplum enamel hearts.

It just went into the mail to my sweet 7 year old granddaughter. I get to see her in a few weeks.

Well, that's it for me for this post. So until next time.......God bless.
