~ Stitched HB2U ~

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog.

Well here we are at the end of March. It came in like a lion and seems to be going out the same way. The temps started to warm over the past few days but lots of rain.

This is Easter week-end as well. I will be hosting dinner at my home. Originally it was for 9 people but my hubby's family isn't coming now. My Mother-in-law had an issue with her shoulder this week and she is recovering so her son and daughter won't leave her alone on Sunday.

I am still looking forward to the family time even though there will be less of us. I have most of my food shopping done just a few small items to pick up yet. Today I am busy finishing up my cleaning. But, I wanted to get a Blog post in today. So lets get started with some details on how I created this card.

wild wasabi wisteria wonder soft sky
This is a card I created for the color challenge #673 on Splitcoaststampers. Pam was the hostess and she chose wild wasabi, soft sky and wisteria wonder. Optional was to add pearls. I couldn't get pearls to work on this card so I used wisteria wonder enamel dots.

For my card, I sponged my background with distress inks of tumbled glass and mowed lawn on distress ink cardstock. After I was happy with the sponging I sprayed the cardstock with water. I wanted to move the ink around a bit.

I needed a cute birthday card for a 10-year-old, and I thought these new stitched dies from CottageCutz would work well.

The bird is from the CottageCutz Stitched Owl & Bird die. Cut her in wisteria cardstock and her blue wing is cut from the sponged background. The tree branch is from the Stitched Honey Bees die.

My clouds are also cut from the sponged background. I stamped my sentiment in black ink directly on my cloud. The HB2U are cut in wisteria from the new CottageCutz stitched alphabet and stitched numbers die.

Well that's my card for today. Hope you can stop by tomorrow. I made a sweet card for Mother's Day with these stitched dies. So until next time...........God bless.
