~love you to the moon & back~

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog. Hope your weekend was a great one whatever you did.

We are underway with August. Where did the first 2 months of summer go to??? It seemed like a blink of an eye and this new month showed up. I have another month off and then our pre-school starts in early September.

I will be working there 2 days a week for the first few months. Just until the kids get used to a pre-school routine and their teachers. then right after Christmas I drop back to 1 day a week.

My class meets 2 days a week, and we have another assistant who will work the other day. It's just enough for me to stay involved and keep my mind active and still allow me time for my card making and other activities. I had the chance to move up with the older kids but that would involve 3 days a week. I didn't want to feel like I was working again. After all, I spent 30 years in corporate America.

For my card today, I am showing one I made for the Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty challenges. If you are a member of the Fan Club you can play along in the challenge. If not, today is a good day to join and then you can join in on all the fun. And, there are fabulous prizes to be won. Click here for more info.

For my background,  I sponged 3 shades of Stampin'-Up inks onto some distressed water color cardstock. Made a circle mask for my moon before the sponging.  I started with the turquoise and sponged that all over the paper, then added some night of navy and final the blackberry bliss ink.

I then used the Stampin'-Up stars stencil mask and sprayed it with a perfect pearls mixture.

Memory Box has these celestial bodies dies so I decided to cut some stars and the planet. I found some textured metallic paper in my stash. The moon is sponged with white and gray ink then some acrylic paint. I used the textured side of the cardstock so it gives the moon "craters".

My sentiment is from the MFT set Mr. Roboto. I say this to my sweet 4yr old granddaughter. So guess who is getting this card (lol)!!

Well, that's it for me for today. Time to get busy on my color challenge card. I am the hostess this week and my card will be due tonight. So until next time........God bless.
