Happy Tuesday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. It was a busy weekend and then my week started off with my grandsons on a sleepover. One of them is going to a basketball camp on this side of town. It was easier to have them here rather than my driving back and forth 6 times,
We had a fun night playing our favorite card game "war" and our favorite guess who game. They just love doing the same things every time they come. This morning we took Aidin to the camp and then Ethan went swimming in my neighbor's pool. I thought it was a bit chilly at 74 degrees to swim, but it was sunny and he loved it.
Around 4:00 we drove back to the boys home and then took Ethan to his little league game. They won and he hit a home run. It was an over the fence home run. We were so proud and excited for him.
So onto my card for today. This one I made for the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers.
Julia is our hostess and she wanted us to use pool party, island indigo and white as our colors.
For my card I used the poppy image from the new set by Mark’s Finest Papers “welcome poppies”.
I heat embossed the image on island indigo cardstock with white embossing powder. I used pool party as my card base.
Added some white satin ribbon and island indigo ruffled ribbon and my bow has a pool party button in the center.
The sentiment is from another Mark’s Finest Papers set – “dogwood blossoms”. I completed my card with pearls and a butterfly punched with pool party cardstock.
My layout is a copy from this card that I made last week. Well, its late and time to dim the lights in charmed life land for another day. So until next time........God bless.
Some other challenges:
1. Lollipop Crafts has a "flowers in bloom" challenge.
2. Made Especially For You blog has a heat embossing challenge.
3. Let's Ink It Up has a "favorite embellishment" challenge. I love my ribbon.
