Mark's Finest Papers
I really like the seashells in this new set and I was determined to use them for my sample card. So I took some cheesecloth to simulate a net and filled it with the stamped shells, some clam buttons and pearls. The images were stamped with versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder.
I took some twine and ran it around the cheesecloth and tied a knot on each end. Don't know how to make a sailor's knot so I did a "faux" one (lol).
My sentiment is from the island life set from yesterday. I am going to give this card to my friend who is going to the Outer Banks next week. She loves the beach. I thought I would pack her a little travel package of goodies for the 10 hour drive.
Well this is the final day of the hop. I hope you have enjoyed all my samples as well as the rest of the team. Next stop is MariLynn's blog.
Some other challenges:
1. Repeat Impressions DCC620 ~ Head for the Beach Challenge
2. Sarah Hurley has a dimention & texture challenge. I used cheesecloth and embossed my sea shells, added pearls & twine.
I love this in all white on black! Great idea with the cheesecloth!

ReplyDeleteI love black and white cards and yours is stunning! kk
ReplyDeleteLike the texture & dimension that the cheesecloth adds to this holding the sea shells. The twine is a wonderful touch. Has a definite seashore feel to it. Reminds me of my younger days on growing up on the E coast of FL near the Cape. I like all things sea shell. Have a sea shell collection in my master bathroom. Wallpaper theme of master bathroom is beach/sand castles/sea shells.
