Gather Together

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today.

We had our yard sale today at my son's home. I did sell a few things but not as much as I thought I would. But, we have a group in our community where you can post items you no longer need and if someone is interested they respond to your post. You aren't selling the items just giving them away. And that works fine for me.

So as soon as I came home I took photos and posted them on the site. I had immediate responses for all the items I listed. I didn't get any of the Christmas stuff listed but that will happen tomorrow. I feel today was a win-win for everyone.

Now onto my card for today. This one I created for the color challenge #811. I was the hostess and I chose rich razzleberry, old olive and whisper white. Optional was to use enamel dots.

I wanted to make a Fall or Thanksgiving card with these colors so I started off with the leaves. I used a die from CottageCutz and watercolor paper. I sponged rich razzleberry and old olive ink first. Then I pressed them into a Versamark pad and embossed with clear embossing powder. IRL they have a lot of shine which doesn't show up in the photo very well.

The background paper is from the Stampin'-Up "into the woods" collection. I found the acorn enamel dots in my stash. They were off white so I colored them with Copic markers.
The sentiment is from the Stampin'-Up "painted harvest" set. I also used the stitched labels set as the backdrop for my leaves and sentiment.
