HYCCT1405 ~double love~

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to visit the Charmed Life Blog this Saturday. Our weather is taking a nose dive, and we are expecting a frost either tonight or Sunday night.

It's fall and late October so I knew it was coming eventually, but I am still not ready (lol)!! The gardens will be done for another year. And, we have lots of green tomatoes yet on the vine. Plus a lot of our flowers are still blooming.

Speaking of tomatoes, Yesterday I roasted a big batch of ripe ones with garlic and thyme and made an awesome spaghetti sauce. Roasting them brings out such a delicious flavor.

I also made stuffed banana peppers. We didn't grow any of these so I picked them up at the farmers market. They turned out great as well. The stuffing was just some hot Italian sausage, ground beef, onions, garlic and parmesan & asiago cheeses.

I packed them in my hubby's lunch for today so I hope he doesn't think they are too hot. I tried one last night and it had a bit of a kick to it but not overpowering. Today, I am roasting beets and making zucchini bread. I will give you the update on how that turned out in tomorrow's post.

Now, onto my card for today. This one I made for the Splitcoaststampers HYCCT challenge #5.  Diane is our hostess and she wants us to use both pink and purple on our card and some element, or elements, of your card to be in twos.

For the challenge colors I used melon mambo and rich razzleberry. And, for the "twos element, I used the Our Daily Bread Designs stamp "little girls" and stamped in melon mambo ink.
Used several dies to complete my card: the MFT dizzy doily die -cut in melon mambo cardstock.
Verve pennant trim die cut in rich razzleberry card stock.
Impression Obsession "I love you" die - cut from Echo Park designer paper.
The background panel is from the Stampin-Up "sweet taffy" collection.

My card layout is the October 2nd week Viva La Verve sketch.

Well, it's time to close this post and get my Saturday started. So until next time......god bless.
