Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to visit the Charmed Life Blog. My Sunday started over with church. The worship team did a tremendous job even with the lead singer and backups being out.
Our Pastor also had a great message today. The gist of it was that a crisis can bring defeat or empowerment. And, that our God wants to enter the equation of our lives.
This afternoon we went to Ethan's (youngest grandson) football game. His school team was in the semi-finals but they lost in overtime.
It was a cold day sitting and watching the game. I was covered with a blanket and a couple of jackets plus gloves. It was about 50° but we were not sitting in the sun and it was a bit windy. I was glad to get back in the car at games end to warm up.
We stopped for some pizza on the way home and when we arrived at home there was no electrical power. My hubby didn't have any house keys with him. We always come in through the garage but the automatic openers don't work when there is no electricity.
Then I remembered my keys were in my purse and that little problem was solved. The power came back on about 8:00 pm this evening. So that allowed me to get online and do this blog post.
Now onto my card for today. This one I made for the HYCCT1402 challenge. Rebecca is our hostess and she wants us to have our card reflect an image of something that floats.
I used a sailboat image, and my designer paper is reflecting objects you find in the sea that also float. It is from the Stampin-Up "maritime" collection.
I used the Verve stamp set "text objects". The sailboat is stamped in night of navy ink and I paper pieced the sails and the boat bottom and then fussy cut the image.
My card layout is the October SFYYT sketch.
