~Card Concept Challenge #21

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to visit the Charmed Life Blog. It is time for another challenge over at the Card Concept Blog

This 2 week period we have an inspiration challenge and our theme is country/sunflowers. Here is a beautiful inspiration photo to help in creating your card.

My card style this time is clean and simple. I have a bit of a struggle with this style because I am used to layers and designer paper and I want to keep adding to my card. But, I think I did fairly well in keeping it on the cas side. At least for me anyway (lol).

When I looked at this photo, I immediately thought of creating a card with a mason jar for the vase. I used my Stampin-Up set "perfectly preserved" and the matching die. I cut the jar in vellum and used some blue distress ink on the back. the twine and bow help the jar help complete a country look.

The sunflower is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The leaves are another die from Stampin-Up's "secret garden" collection. The inspiration photo has the flower vase on a checkered tablecloth and I used a stamp from Great Impressions for that look.

To finish off my card, I added some sequins cut with a MFT die. Hope you can play along with our fun challenge this time.

The rules are fairly simple. You have  different card styles to choose from to help you create. The styles are defined here,  there are lots of samples from the rest of the DT and you have the inspiration photo. All that's needed is your card!!

This card is also for The Splitcoaststampers HYCCT1412 challenge. Lori is our hostess and she wants us to make a card with warm colors and something fuzzy like twine.

Until next time.......God bless.
