Abundant Blessings

Happy Wednesday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. We have had rain & cooler temps here in the Pittsburgh area since Sunday. Feels like fall but I know we are not done with warmer days just yet.

My grandsons started back to school on Tuesday. They complained only slightly about things at school and about their teachers. I encouraged them to look for the good qualitites about their teachers and concentrate on that.
I reminded them that their teachers are an authority over them in school. And, God wants us to be respectful and obedient to those in authority over us.

It was a good conversation and they listened. I love being able to be a positive influence in their lives.

So now onto my card for today. I created this one for the color challenge #339 on Splitcoaststampers.

Yours truly was the hostess of the challenge this week. I chose the fall colors of always artichoke, so saffron, and cajun craze. It was well received and that's always good.

For my card, I used the Verve stamp set "bountiful harvest". I love this cute little turkey. I decided to paper piece him with designer paper. I used so saffron for his body and cajun craze for his feathers, beard and beak.

On my background panel I used the cuttlebug embossing folder "autumn type". I love all the fall & thanksgiving words in this folder. My card layout is an old sketch from Verve that I modified somewhat.

My designer paper is from Stampin-Up’s "so saffron & always artichoke collection". I punched a few leaves from the designer paper to complete my card.

In closing, I am offering blog candy through Thursday night. Check out this post for the details.

So until next time..........God bless

Some other challenges:
