~Love Bird~

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog today.

Well we work up to a big surprise this morning. There was about 5" of snow on the ground and some areas got as much as 7".  That caused a 2 hour delay in the schools and also with our preschool. So instead of us starting at 9:30, our start time was 11:30. When you disrupt a 3 year old's  routine, it can cause a bit of confusion and sometimes disorder in the classroom.

We only had one little boy who was out of sorts. We were decorating their Valentine boxes with stickers and hearts and he refused to cooperate. I had to sit with him after everyone was done to find out the problem.
Nothing big, he just wanted the robot stickers only on his box. The first one he put on got bent in the corner and he tore it off. But once I gave him some additional to attach he was fine. His Mom said that he fell asleep on the way to school so that is probably why his behavior was out of sorts as well.

Other than that our day went well. It's supposed to get really cold tonight but I think the snow is over for now. We haven't really had much snow this year. This was the first significant snowfall and they had the suburban roads cleared by the time I left for school.

Now onto my card for today. This one I made for the Sketch Challenge #630 on Splitcoaststampers. Cathy was the hostess and she provided a great layout to work into a card.

I chose to take the sketch and work it into a Valentine card. My background designer paper is from the Stampin'-Up collection " have a cuppa". That covered layer 3 of the sketch.

Used a hearts embossing folder from Darice and Bermuda Bay cardstock for layer 2 of the sketch. . The panels are separated with basic gray satin ribbon for layer 4.
I used my love bird on a branch die for the heart shape in the sketch. This is a new Valentine die from CottageCutz. To complete my card I added a couple of stitched hearts and my valentine word.

Well, that's it for me for this post. So until next time........God bless.
