HoneyComb Birthday

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog. It's a lazy kind of Sunday here at my home. Taking it as a day of rest and generally doing nothing.

We started our day off with church. Our service was great and an encouraging message from our Pastor. Then after church I met 2 of my friends at the gym for a workout.

We don't usually go on Sunday but one of our group is going away for a week. She wanted to get a couple of workouts in before she leaves on Wednesday. Our group has been together for 3 years now and we meet 3x a week and about once a month with our trainer. It is a good incentive to have someone to go with to exercise.

hello honey, tempting turquoise, rich razzleberry

Now onto my card for today. This one I made for the color challenge #619. Barbara was our hostess and she has chose rich razzleberry, hello honey and tempting turquoise as her color trio. Optional this week is to use a die-cut.

I started my card with some background stenciling. Used the textured honeycomb stencil from Memory Box, hello honey ink and a Clarity Brush. I love the smooth as well as soft look you get using these brushes.

My images are from the CottageCutz “sweet valentine” set. It’s a new stamp & die combo from CottageCutz. I used Prismacolor pencils and gamsol for my coloring. It's been awhile since I've used these pencils. But, I like how it turned out.

The birthday sentiment is stamped in rich razzleberry ink and is from the “oopsy daisy” set from MFP. I layered the image panel on a stitched panel cut in hello honey cardstock. Then layered that on a rich razzleberry base.

Sent this one off to my niece for her birthday. It feels good to send out the cards that I have made. And, that is it for me for this post. So until next time.........God bless!
