Hello Blogger friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life blog. I am busy with preparations for Easter dinner tomorrow. We will have 10 people here to enjoy the meal with us.
I just set my tables and thought I would take a quick break before I get back to the meal preps. I like to try and do as much as possible the day before. That way I can sit with my family and enjoy time with them.
I'm making a couple of potato casseroles + a fresh fruit salad to go along with the ham we are having. The casseroles are a bit time consuming so I like to assemble them today and actually do the baking of them tomorrow. The fruit salad I will cut up tomorrow.
My mother-in-law and daughter-in-law will both bring a veggie dish. Another guest will bring dessert and we are good to go. My daughter-in-law will also make her delicious orange sour cream pound cake which is always a treat.
All this food talk is making me hungry so lets get on to my card for today (lol)! This one I made for the color challenge #575 on Splitcoaststampers. Karen is our hostess and she chose blackberry bliss, blushing bride and mint macaron. Optional this week is to use a die cut. I love using die cuts on my cards so I jumped right on the option.
mint macaron, blushing bride, blackberry bliss |
For this sample, I cased myself with this card and also this card from KittieKraft. I used the Easter cutout square die from Impression Obsession. I cut it in white and then the flowers in blackberry bliss and pieced those in for some additional color.
I added some blushing bride glimmer paper for a frame and then a larger mint macaron frame. Layered that over blushing bride and then popped it up onto a blackberry bliss card base.
My Easter Joy word is a die from Impression Obsession and I cut in blackberry bliss cardstock. Added 3 little bunnies in blushing bride using the bunny set die from Impression Obsession.
Well that's it for me for today. Time to get back to my kitchen. So until next time.......God bless.
