Teachers

Happy Monday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Charmed Life Blog. Happy Labor Day to all my American friends. Hope your day was a restful one.

I met a friend of mine for breakfast. She has recently married and wants to get together regularly in a mentor relationship.

She told me she wants to have a marriage like mine. I was really honored with her statement. I mentor women in our church and really like the bond that forms.

The rest of my day was a laid back one. I worked on my card for this week's color challenge and made dinner. We had some  & bleu cheese quesadilla's and corn on the cob from the farmers market.

Now onto my card for today. This is another one that I made for the August Viva la Verve challenge. I won the challenge and my prize was a $100 gift card for the Verve store. You can see the other 3 cards here, here and here.

Teresa was our hostess for the week 4 challenge. She provided a great sketch for our card layout.

The background designer paper is the Recollections "alphabet". Paired that with Basic Grey "maraschino textured cardstock". I stamped my sentiment on notebook paper that I found in my stash. The sentiment is from the Verve set "teachers count" -the apple is part of this same set.

I used some yellow chevron twill ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon as one of my sketch layers. I embossed the other panel with the Stampin-Up "alphabet press' embossing folder.

Found the school themed embellishments in my stash to complete my card. Well that's it for me for today. So until next time........God bless.

I am also entering:
