~Doodle Flowers Birthday~

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the Charmed Life Blog.

I am so enjoying the fall days we are having right now. The squirrels are busy gathering acorns for the winter ahead. They are all over our yard both acorns and squirrels.

Of course it helps that we have two large oak trees in the front yard. Sometimes they stop their gathering to play. It's fun to watch them chase each other around the yard and then up and down the trees.

Yesterday one of the neighborhood hawks swooped down to gather one up for his meal. It didn't upset me because it's all part of the balance of nature. The size of these hawks always amazes me.

My husband put some suet out on the bird feeder and it always draws the cardinals. This morning the female one was busy pecking away at it and then stopped to feed the male who was siting and waiting his turn.

I have seen this before but it always brings that "aw look how cute moment" no matter how many times I see it. I think we all need those moments just to sit back and observe nature. It's so calming.

Now onto my card for today. This one I made for the Inspiration challenge #565  on Splitcoaststampers. Stef was our hostess and she directed us to the Decorative Dishes   site for our inspiration.

As soon as I saw this plate I knew I found my inspiration and my card idea was born. Here is a photo of the plate I used as inspiration.

From Decorative Dishes site

These doodle flowers dies from CottageCutz really reminded me of the flowers on this plate.

I used some Stampin'-Up polka dot designer paper in daffodil delight for my background. The flowers are cut from 2 shades of Bazzill purple cardstock.

I used the CottageCutz rounded rectangle die to cut the frame because it reminded me of the center of the plate.

My happy word is a die from MFT. I stamped the birthday sentiment on a banner to complete my card.

Well that's it for me for today. Until next time.........God bless.
