Give Thanks

Hello Blogger Friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with The Charmed Life Blog today.

It's a beautiful Fall day here in Pittsburgh- sunny and warm. I have the windows open and a gentle breeze is blowing through my home. I went for a walk early this morning and it was already 60°. So I am thinking it's near 80° now at 3:00.

Hubby is out raking the unending supply of leaves. We have 2 huge oak trees in our yard and the neighbors all have large trees so the leaves are everywhere. Our Pin Oak trees lose half their leaves in the Fall and the other half in the Springtime when the new leaves appear. It's normal for this species of oak tree.

Now onto my card for today. This one I created for the color challenge #812 on Splitcoaststampers. Jeanne was our hostess and she chose crushed curry, cinnamon cider and calypso coral for her color trio. Optional this week is your favorite green. I like all of Stampin'-Up's green shades and for today I chose garden green.

For my card images, I used the sunflowers from the Stampin'-Up designer paper "painted autumn" that I have had in my stash for 2 years now. I fussy cut the images and attached them to a crushed curry circle cut with a CottageCutz die. I also added a leaf spray cut from garden green cardstock. I saw this layout on Julie Davison's Blog from a couple of years ago and saved it to Pinterest. And, today I was able to use it.

My cinnamon cider panel is embossed with the Stampin'-Up Greenery embossing folder. I added some burlap ribbon, a linen thread bow and calypso coral enamel dots to complete my card. And, I have another one for my Thanksgiving stash.

Well that's it for me for this post. So until next time........God bless.
