Have Courage

Happy Wednesday and thanks for taking the time to visit the charmed life blog. We had a beautiful fall day today here in Pittsburgh. Lots of sunshine and warmer temps makes winter seem so far away. But this Sunday we end daylight savings time and it will be darker an hour earlier.

We are getting closer to Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be just around the corner. I have started planning both menus and also have made a dent into my Christmas shopping. I wish I could say the same thing about my Christmas cards. I have made about 15 cards so far and I need somewhere around 80.

I do have some ideas for quick and easily mass produced cards. I just have to get moving on them.

I did make a card today though that wasn't Christmas. I liked the sketch challenge on splitcoaststampers and I knew it would work for the idea I had in mind.

I am still making cards for the "hope you can cling to" challenges on splitcoaststampers as well. Click on the above link for more info.

This challenge was hosted by Taylor and she wanted us to make a girlie card-using lace-ribbon-pearls all the stuff girls like.

On my middle white panel I used the "distressed background" stamp from Great Impressions with melon mambo ink.

For the panel across the card, I used the Cherry Lynn lace border die and ran white ribbon thru it. Then added a small bow with a rhinestone center.

I also used a cherry lynn flourish and added a ribbon flower for the image part of the sketch. I finished my card with a tag and sentiment.

Well, my friends its late and time to dim the lights in charmed life land for another day.
